“Be still, and know that I am God.  I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the Earth!” ~ Psalm 46:10, ESV

Being still and quiet isn’t doing nothing… it’s listening to God.

Too many times in life today we are so busy that we are never being still.

People are always doing something; cell phone calls, text messaging, reading, watching television, playing video games, talking with associates… the list goes on and on.

What would happen if we were completely still, quiet, and eager to just hear God?  He actually says, “Be still and know that I am God.”  To be still and know something is to have faith.  To be still is to calm your mind.  To be still is to just listen.  To listen is to hear.  To hear God is to know God.

Don’t worry about clearing your schedule for a few minutes each day just to be still, and know that He is God.  It will calm your nerves and allow a cleansing for your spirit.
